CS 1.6

Just wanted to put in that I'd be interested in a 1.6 tournament, though I understand theres a lot to be run in a 12 hour period already.

I might be able to scrowge up some prizes for a 1.6 tourny but nothing big. And your right for a 12h preiode we already have our plate full. Unless i can find a volunteer to do the Source and 1.6 thne it would be simpler.

What's the rule on number of tournaments/participant?

Doing both 1.6 and Source always seemed ridiculous to me anyway.

5 player teams, Same goes with all other team tournaments.

The way the events are schedualed all teams can participate in every tournament if they want to. Il do a couple updates on the website to let you guys know what tournaments are team based and individual based.

Good to know. You might want to do a quick FAQ for the main site so people can find that type of info out easily.

Any word on when the domain will lbe up and running?

I wouldent mind hosting some tournements or something like that... I would actually like to help out in more ways then that if you needed it... Im only 16 but I have very good knowledge of computer hardware and software, although im definitly better at programming ^^

I find that age does not matter as long as the person is responsible enof thats pretty must all that counts. Iv seen guys who are 25 acting like there 15. So yes if you want to help all you need to do is add a note to your registration form at the end that you are interested in helping with the CS tourny.

If you want, I can help before the lan even starts with setting up and getting things ready, or anything of that sort

sounds like a cool idea for the Mario Kart DS tourny, just remember, that we don't have prizes for these. We have no problem with you running it if you want, we welcome the help.

The site it self we are using is off of a Anime Forum. It's part of the sposorship deal. Next year we are looking to have a 100% seperated forum on monctonlanparty.com.

CS 1.6 FTW!!! source is ok, but didnt catch on yet, there is more servers for source then actual players playing the game by steam/stats where 1.6 has almost x4 as many players then source... from previous lan experience 1.6 > source in the maritimes.

Im probably going to figure something out for 1.6.

P.S. - I will be attending EDFest with a 5man source team - most likely consisting of 3 people from Minto (yes we do have highspeed now), 1 from Oromocto, and one from Moncton. Should be a good time, can't wait to show off my awp.

If my 6600GT can run source at 60-180 fps with every setting at max at 1280x res, then whatever you have should run it too. 'Nuff said.
