Anime North

best thing would be to travel as a group either rent a van or whatever, probably be the cheapest for everyone. i have a bunch of friends & family in the toronto area. heck we could probably stay with one of my aunts who lives just out of toronto.

i'd have to ask her though. would depend on how many people there are. ^_^

sounds great to go to Anime North. I've always wanted to go there. Count me in if you're planning the trip by group.

I know (since it's really not that popular in Moncton)
But hey, at least there's a wide variety of the classes to choose from.

as for suggestions for the group that aren't mentioned yet...

I think it could work... but it's like, the video game characters starred in an anime season.... but I don't know...

It'd be like doing Gundam Seed characters, and someone doing Heero from Wing... it would kind of feel out of place...

Ok 2 things that need to be said.

If you have a driver who is used to drive long runs it's no problums. If you have 2 or 3 drivers you can make montreal in 12 h then take a pit stop and stop at my cousins place and see a REALY big anime collection. then an othe 8 hour drive and your there. SO if we all book a couple days off and leave on thursday morning we would have absolutly no problums getting there. Not to mention it would be a hell of alot cheaper to rent a VAN (15 passenger or samller) then taking ta plane.

Actualy the goal of us doing a cosplay is that we would have to do a skitt so there is no reason y we cant create a story line to combine both. aslong as the charactor is recognised. ^-^

it wasnt for the driver i was talking about...12hours of sitting in a car drains you out...you have no energie left for animenorth and worse for the trip back..like i said my friend did it last year and shes never doing that again lol!
for sure me and the people from caraquet our going by plane.....takes 2 days at least to get there by car...so think of the money your gonna lose not going to work if you dont take 4 days of vacation

meh i like driving personally. i usually sleep in the car the whole way there and back anyways. but yeah, the extra time off work has to be weighed against the cost of the plane tickets. seat sales are all well and good, but it's still not all that cheap.

and transportation in toronto is sick. if you don't know the bus/train/subway system really well

Well, if G wants to do Tsukasa, I'll do Morugana... Although, like I said before, I'm not really one that would be good with actually MAKING a costume... >.<

Well if everyone goes then we could check for discount group rate airfare.

Me and kieryn are still not sure about our availability we still have a weeding to plan and not to mention everyone still has to work arround there work schedual.

As far as traveling with a VAN vr. Plain, To be honest with you there is a big and when i mena big i mean BIG diference between going up in a car and a 15 passenger van. Lots of breathing space?

ok people more news on animenorth!

all rooms are booked for friday and saturday at the double tree hotel* which is where most of the things goes on*

but they are still rooms at other hotels near by..but we have to hurry up!!!

we might still be able to get rooms at the doubletree but i have to look in to that and pull some stings to make that happenned

Worse case senario we could see about getting people to stay over at some friends we know.

I booked at the double tree as soon as reservations opened up ^_^ so I have my room, i booked one with two beds so if my brother is not coming I have one spot avliable, you just pay half the cost for the room

I think personally, I am going to start now and plan for going next year. depends on how vacation and family things work out and all that though too ^_^

In all honesty planning for next year is a very very good idea too.
